The Valley Vikings tipped the visiting Wendell Trojans basketball team by a tally of 54-48 in Saturday's non-league battle.

The Vikings now possess a 4-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Carey for a 1A Snake River battle on Tuesday, January 17. Valley will confront a Panthers team coming off a 50-30 league win over Glenns Ferry (Glenns Ferry, ID). The Panthers record now stands at 11-2.

The Trojans (3-13) will now prepare for their battle against Declo (Declo, ID). The Hornets come into the 2A Canyon battle with a 7-9 record. In their last battle, Declo was nudged by West Side (Dayton, ID), 54-38, in a non-league battle.
