The Tarboro Vikings basketball team (Tarboro, NC), was nudged 65-62 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host SouthWest Edgecombe Cougars (Pinetops, NC)

The Cougars now possess a 6-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West Craven for a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 17. SouthWest Edgecombe will confront a Eagles team coming off a 65-22 non-league win over North Pitt (Bethel, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 10-3.

The Vikings (2-6) will now prepare for their battle against South Creek (Robersonville, NC). The Cougars come into the non-league battle with a 6-3 record.
