The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Albemarle Patriots (Charlottesville, VA) and the host Fluvanna County Flying Flucos (Palmyra, VA), observed Albemarle's basketball team overwhelm Fluvanna County by a score of 72-41.

The Patriots (10-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Monticello (Charlottesville, VA). The Mustangs come into the Jefferson challenge with a 5-6 record. In their last challenge, Monticello trounced Louisa County (Mineral, VA), 61-40, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Flying Flucos encounter the Waynesboro Little Giants (Waynesboro, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 16. Fluvanna County will attempt to improve on its 3-9 season record. The Little Giants come into the challenge with a 2-8 record after their 55-42 league loss to Riverheads (Staunton, VA).
