The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Mount Pleasant Tigers (Mt. Pleasant, NC) and the host Albemarle Bulldogs (Albemarle, NC), observed Mount Pleasant's basketball team overwhelm Albemarle by a margin of 77-43.

The Tigers (7-6) will now prepare for their challenge against North Stanly (New London, NC). The Comets come into the 1A/2A Yadkin Valley challenge with a 14-1 record. In their last challenge, North Stanly trounced South Stanly (Norwood, NC), 64-45, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Bulldogs battle the Gray Stone Day Knights (Misenheimer, NC) in a 1A/2A Yadkin Valley challenge, on Friday, January 17. Albemarle will attempt to better on its 0-13 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 2-8 record after their 43-32 non-league win over Bethany Community (Summerfield, NC).
