In Tuesday's league test, the Gretna Hawks (Gretna, VA) basketball squad got by the host Altavista Colonels (Altavista, VA), by a score of 65-58.
Next, the Hawks encounter the Nelson County Governors (Lovingston, VA) in a Dogwood test, on Friday, January 17. Gretna will attempt to improve on its 9-1 season record. The Governors come into the test with a 8-3 record after their 63-59 league win over Dan River (Ringgold, VA).
