The Trinity Tigers basketball team scored 58 points and limited the host Anderson-Shiro Fighting Owls to 53 in the Tigers league triumph on Tuesday.

The Tigers now have a 15-5 record. They play next when they host Coldspring-Oakhurst for a 3A Region III District 23 game on Friday, January 17. Trinity will confront a Trojans team coming off a 62-55 league loss to New Waverly (New Waverly, TX). The Trojans record now stands at 7-17.

With the loss, Anderson-Shiro falls to 14-7 on the campaign. The Fighting owls travel to Crockett (Crockett, TX) to confront the Bulldogs in a 3A Region III District 23 game on Friday, January 17. The Bulldogs go into the game with a record of 19-7. Crockett lost 96-69 in their recent league game against Onalaska (Onalaska, TX)
