The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Ball Tornadoes (Galveston, TX) and the visiting Angleton Wildcats (Angleton, TX), observed Ball's basketball team edge Angleton by a score of 76-71.

The Tornadoes (8-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Iowa Colony (Iowa Colony, TX). The Pioneers come into the 5A Region III District 20 challenge with a 18-9 record. In their last challenge, Iowa Colony edged Texas City (Texas City, TX), 86-43, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Wildcats battle the Santa Fe Indians (Santa Fe, TX) in a 5A Region III District 20 challenge, on Friday, January 17. Angleton will attempt to improve on its 14-14 season record. The Indians come into the challenge with a 10-15 record after their 66-44 league loss to Ball (Galveston, TX).
