The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Sulphur Bluff Bears (Sulphur Bluff, TX) and the visiting Avinger Indians (Avinger, TX), observed Sulphur Bluff's basketball team overwhelm Avinger by a margin of 65-32.

The Bears (9-13) will now prepare for their challenge against Bloomburg (Bloomburg, TX). The Wildcats come into the 1A Region III District 20 challenge with a 3-14 record. In their last challenge, Bloomburg was trounced by Avery (Avery, TX), 50-31, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Indians battle the Saltillo Lions (Saltillo, TX) in a 1A Region III District 20 challenge, on Friday, January 17. Avinger will attempt to better on its 1-16 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 17-10 record after their 35-30 league win over Union Hill (Gilmer, TX).
