The Barbour County Jaguars basketball squad (Clayton, AL), was nudged 59-52 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Long Rebels (Skipperville, AL)

With the victory, Long advances its record to 15-6 on the year. The Rebels host Abbeville (Abbeville, AL) to meet the Yellowjackets in a 2A Area 4 battle on Friday, January 17. The Yellowjackets enter the battle with a record of 17-3. Abbeville won 51-40 in their recent league battle against Ariton (Ariton, AL)

The Jaguars now own a 7-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ariton for a 2A Area 4 battle on Thursday, January 16. Barbour County will meet a Purple Cats squad coming off a 51-40 league loss to Abbeville (Abbeville, AL). The Purple Cats record now stands at 9-8.
