Georgia High School Basketball - Veterans nudges Bleckley County

January 14, 2025: Cochran, GA 31014

The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Veterans Warhawks (Kathleen, GA) and the host Bleckley County Royals (Cochran, GA), observed Veterans's basketball team edge Bleckley County by a score of 56-50.

The Warhawks (10-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Thomas County Central (Thomasville, GA). The Yellow Jackets come into the AAAAA Region 2 challenge with a 11-5 record. In their last challenge, Thomas County Central edged Cairo (Cairo, GA), 58-55, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Royals encounter the Southwest Patriots (Macon, GA) in a A D1 Region 2 challenge, on Friday, January 17. Bleckley County will attempt to improve on its 8-9 season record. The Patriots come into the challenge with a 14-1 record after their 69-55 league win over Academy for Classical Education (Macon, GA).
