In Tuesday's league contest, the host Classical Magnet Gladiators basketball team scored a big 78-37 win over the Capital Prep Trailblazers.

The Gladiators (5-1) will now prepare for their contest against University (Hartford, CT). The Hawks come into the Capitol Region contest with a 0-6 record. In their last contest, University was trounced by Academy of Science and Innovation (New Britain, CT), 60-24, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Trailblazers battle the Academy of Aerospace and Engineering Jets (Windsor, CT) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, January 16. Capital Prep will attempt to better on its 1-7 season record. The Jets come into the contest with a 9-0 record after their 70-44 league win over Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy (Hartford, CT).
