The Henderson Lions basketball team scored 48 points and limited the host Carthage Bulldogs to 45 in the Lions league triumph on Tuesday.

The Lions now possess a 4-17 record. They play next when they host Pine Tree for a 4A Region II District 16 game on Friday, January 17. Henderson will play a Pirates team coming off a 71-35 league win over Cumberland Academy (Tyler, TX). The Pirates record now stands at 13-10.

With the loss, Carthage falls to 1-7 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Chapel Hill (Tyler, TX) to play the Bulldogs in a 4A Region II District 16 game on Friday, January 17. The Bulldogs go into the game with a record of 21-5. Chapel Hill lost 59-43 in their recent league game against Kilgore (Kilgore, TX)
