The South Jefferson Spartans basketball team scored 88 points and limited the host Carthage Comets to 49 in the Spartans non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Spartans now have a 7-3 record. They play next when they travel to Lowville for a Section 3 Frontier B game on Thursday, January 16.

With the loss, Carthage falls to 1-10 on the campaign. The Comets host Central Square (Central Square, NY) to confront the Redhawks in a non-league game on Saturday, January 18. The Redhawks go into the game with a record of 2-5.
