The Highland Home Flying Squadron basketball squad (Highland Home, AL), lost 81-67 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Central Lions (Hayneville, AL)

With the victory, Central advances its record to 7-5 on the year. The Lions host Blacksher (Uriah, AL) to meet the Bulldogs in a 2A Area 5 battle on Friday, January 17. The Bulldogs enter the battle with a record of 5-8. Blacksher lost 55-53 in their recent non-league battle against Washington County (Chatom, AL)

The Flying Squadron now own a 3-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Calhoun for a 2A Area 5 battle on Friday, January 17. Highland Home will meet a Tigers squad coming off a 55-46 league win over Blacksher (Uriah, AL). The Tigers record now stands at 5-8.
