Mississippi High School Basketball - New Hope defeats Corinth

The New Hope Trojans (Columbus, MS) basketball were winner over the visiting Corinth Warriors (Corinth, MS), 65-49 in Tuesday's league bout.
The Trojans now possess a 10-5 record. They play next when they travel to Pontotoc for a 5A Region 1 bout on Friday, January 17. New Hope will play a Warriors team coming off a 39-31 league win over West Point (West Point, MS). The Warriors record now stands at 14-8.
With the loss, Corinth falls to 2-15 on the campaign. The Warriors host Lafayette (Oxford, MS) to play the Commodores in a 5A Region 1 bout on Friday, January 17. The Commodores go into the bout with a record of 9-8. Lafayette lost 62-54 in their recent league bout against Clarksdale (Clarksdale, MS)
