The Cornerstone Christian Lions basketball team scored 74 points and limited the host Gateway Christian Eagles to 15 in the Lions league triumph on Tuesday.

The Lions now have a 5-2 record. They play next when they travel to Austin Classical for a TAPPS 1A District 6 game on Tuesday, January 21.

With the loss, Gateway Christian falls to 4-9 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Hill Country Christian (San Marcos, TX) to confront the Rams in a non-league game on Friday, January 17. The Rams go into the game with a record of 4-5. Hill Country Christian won 46-35 in their recent league game against Gateway Christian (San Antonio, TX)
