With the victory, South Gibson advances its record to 11-9 on the year. The Hornets travel to Dyer County (Newbern, TN) to face the Choctaws in a 3A District 13 match on Friday, January 17. The Choctaws enter the match with a record of 5-12. Dyer County lost 70-49 in their recent non-league match against Peabody (Trenton, TN)

The Cavaliers now own a 6-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Dyersburg for a 3A District 13 match on Friday, January 17. Crockett County will face a Trojans squad coming off a 54-43 league loss to Obion County (Troy, TN). The Trojans record now stands at 8-8.
