The Miller Grove Hornets basketball team scored 45 points and limited the visiting Dodd City Hornets to 42 in the Hornets league triumph on Tuesday.

The Hornets now have a 6-12 record. They play next when they travel to Savoy for a 1A Region III District 19 game on Friday, January 17. Miller Grove will confront a Cardinals team coming off a 51-42 league win over Campbell (Campbell, TX). The Cardinals record now stands at 9-15.

With the loss, Dodd City falls to 7-19 on the campaign. The Hornets host Ector (Ector, TX) to confront the Eagles in a 1A Region III District 19 game on Friday, January 17. The Eagles go into the game with a record of 12-8. Ector won 59-49 in their recent league game against Fannindel (Ladonia, TX)
