Next, the Wildcats encounter the Mountain Heritage Cougars (Burnsville, NC) in a 1A/2A Western Highlands test, on Friday, January 17. Draughn will attempt to improve on its 5-9 season record. The Cougars come into the test with a 10-2 record after their 56-33 league win over Madison (Marshall, NC).

The Dragons (3-9) will now prepare for their test against Rosman (Rosman, NC). The Tigers come into the 1A/2A Western Highlands test with a 1-9 record. In their last test, Rosman bounced Blue Ridge Early College (Cashiers, NC), 56-53, in a non-league test.
