In Tuesday's league contest, the host Elkins Elks basketball team scored a good 63-49 triumph over the West Fork Tigers.
The Elks (15-3) will now prepare for their contest against Providence Academy (Rogers, AR). The Patriots go into the 3A Region 1 contest with a 12-7 record. In their last contest, Providence Academy topped Thaden (Bentonville, AR), 70-38, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Tigers battle the Thaden Barnstormer (Bentonville, AR) in a 3A Region 1 contest, on Friday, January 17. West Fork will attempt to better on its 6-7 season record. The Barnstormer go into the contest with a 4-7 record after their 71-56 league win over Haas Hall Academy (Fayetteville, AR).
