The Maplesville Red Devils (Maplesville, AL) basketball crushed the host Ellwood Christian Eagles (Selma, AL), 59-33 in Tuesday's league bout.

The Red Devils now possess a 8-2 record. They play next when they host Billingsley for a 1A Area 7 bout on Thursday, January 16. Maplesville will play a Bears team coming off a 60-23 league loss to Marion (Marion, AL). The Bears record now stands at 5-13.

With the loss, Ellwood Christian falls to 1-12 on the campaign. The Eagles host Shelby County (Columbiana, AL) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 15.
