Next, the Owls clash with the Burleson Elks (Burleson, TX) in a 5A Region I District 8 test, on Friday, January 17. Joshua will attempt to improve on its 12-14 season record. The Elks come into the test with a 17-11 record after their 71-36 league loss to Centennial (Burleson, TX).

The Bulldogs (6-16) will now prepare for their test against Mansfield Summit (Arlington, TX). The Jaguars come into the 5A Region I District 8 test with a 19-6 record. In their last test, Mansfield Summit held off Mansfield Timberview (Arlington, TX), 52-48, in a league test.
