The Southwestern Wildcats (Hazel Green, WI) basketball edged the host Fennimore Golden Eagles (Fennimore, WI), 59-52 in Tuesday's league bout.

The Wildcats now possess a 10-3 record. They play next when they travel to Mineral Point for a Southwest Wisconsin Activities bout on Friday, January 17. Southwestern will play a Pointers team coming off a 70-33 league win over Iowa-Grant (Livingston, WI). The Pointers record now stands at 11-0.

With the loss, Fennimore falls to 4-8 on the campaign. The Golden eagles host Boscobel (Boscobel, WI) to play the Bulldogs in a Southwest Wisconsin Activities bout on Friday, January 17. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 1-12. Boscobel lost 78-51 in their recent league bout against Cuba City (Cuba City, WI)
