The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Greenwood Rangers (Midland, TX) and the visiting Pecos Eagles (Pecos, TX), observed Greenwood's basketball team overwhelm Pecos by a score of 72-26.

The Rangers (11-13) will now prepare for their challenge against Fort Stockton (Fort Stockton, TX). The Panthers come into the 4A Region I District 3 challenge with a 15-7 record. In their last challenge, Fort Stockton trounced Andrews (Andrews, TX), 52-34, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Eagles encounter the Seminole Indians (Seminole, TX) in a 4A Region I District 3 challenge, on Friday, January 17. Pecos will attempt to improve on its 1-11 season record. The Indians come into the challenge with a 14-10 record after their 76-21 league win over Monahans (Monahans, TX).
