In Tuesday's league contest, the host Hancock Owls basketball team scored a big 62-38 triumph over the Rothsay Tigers.

The Owls (6-5) will now prepare for their contest against Ashby (Ashby, MN). The Arrows go into the A Section 6 contest with a 9-4 record. In their last contest, Ashby smashed Bertha-Hewitt (Bertha, MN), 64-61, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Tigers battle the Hillcrest Lutheran Academy Comets (Fergus Falls, MN) in a A Section 6 contest, on Friday, January 17. Rothsay will attempt to better on its 2-11 season record. The Comets go into the contest with a 7-5 record after their 67-36 league win over Parkers Prairie (Parkers Prairie, MN).
