The Hartfield Academy Hawks basketball team scored 50 points and limited the host Jackson Prep Patriots to 48 in the Hawks league triumph on Tuesday.

The Hawks now have a 15-3 record. They play next when they host Madison-Ridgeland Academy for a MAIS 6A District 1 game on Friday, January 17. Hartfield Academy will confront a Patriots team coming off a 45-41 league loss to Jackson Academy (Jackson, MS). The Patriots record now stands at 12-8.

With the loss, Jackson Prep falls to 17-4 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Presbyterian Christian (Hattiesburg, MS) to confront the Bobcats in a MAIS 6A District 1 game on Friday, January 17. The Bobcats go into the game with a record of 16-7. Presbyterian Christian lost 55-37 in their recent league game against St. Joseph Catholic (Madison, MS)
