The Iron Mountain Mountaineers nipped the host Kingsford Flivvers basketball squad by a final score of 56-55 in Tuesday's non-league outing.
Next, the Mountaineers clash with the Manistique Emeralds (Manistique, MI) in a Mid-Peninsula outing, on Thursday, January 16. Iron Mountain will attempt to upgrade on its 8-2 season record. The Emeralds enter the outing with a 2-8 record after their 70-31 non-league loss to Pickford (Pickford, MI).
The Flivvers (9-2) will now prepare for their outing against Menominee (Menominee, MI). The Maroons enter the Great Northern U.P. outing with a 7-5 record.
