In Tuesday's league contest, the host Orono Spartans basketball team scored a big 86-53 triumph over the Jefferson Jaguars.
The Spartans (7-3) will now prepare for their contest against New Prague (New Prague, MN). The Trojans go into the non-league contest with a 2-9 record. In their last contest, New Prague was trounced by Chaska (Chaska, MN), 65-49, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Jaguars confront the Chaska Hawks (Chaska, MN) in a non-league contest, on Friday, January 17. Jefferson will attempt to better on its 3-8 season record. The Hawks go into the contest with a 6-7 record after their 65-49 non-league win over New Prague (New Prague, MN).
