The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Knippa Crushers (Knippa, TX) and the host Nueces Canyon Panthers (Barksdale, TX), observed Knippa's basketball team knock off Nueces Canyon by a score of 57-45.

The Crushers (12-12) will now prepare for their challenge against Medina (Medina, TX). The Bobcats come into the 1A Region IV District 31 challenge with a 6-10 record. In their last challenge, Medina was knocked off by Comstock (Comstock, TX), 47-30, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Panthers encounter the D'Hanis Cowboys (D'Hanis, TX) in a 1A Region IV District 31 challenge, on Friday, January 17. Nueces Canyon will attempt to improve on its 2-19 season record. The Cowboys come into the challenge with a 16-4 record after their 61-21 league win over Leakey (Leakey, TX).
