South Carolina High School Basketball - Lake Marion succumbs to Whale Branch

January 14, 2025: Beaufort, SC 29940

The Whale Branch Warriors defeated the visiting Lake Marion Gators basketball squad by a final score of 50-42 in Tuesday's league outing.

Next, the Warriors clash with the Hampton County Hurricanes (Varnville, SC) in a AA Region 5 outing, on Friday, January 17. Whale Branch will attempt to upgrade on its 5-7 season record. The Hurricanes come into the outing with a 11-4 record after their 66-39 league win over Barnwell (Barnwell, SC).

The Gators (9-5) will now prepare for their outing against Bridges Prep (Beaufort, SC). The Buccaneers come into the AA Region 5 outing with a 11-4 record. In their last outing, Bridges Prep overcame Edisto (Cordova, SC), 57-40, in a league outing.
