The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Marlboro Central Dukes (Marlboro, NY) and the visiting Spackenkill Spartans (Poughkeepsie, NY), observed Marlboro Central's basketball team knock off Spackenkill by a score of 56-42.

The Dukes (3-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Red Hook (Red Hook, NY). The Raiders come into the Section 9 Mid Hudson II challenge with a 4-1 record.

In their next game, the Spartans encounter the Rondout Valley Ganders (Accord, NY) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 17. Spackenkill will attempt to improve on its 4-3 season record.
