The Martinsville Pirates basketball team scored 51 points and limited the host Zavalla Eagles to 46 in the Pirates league triumph on Tuesday.

The Pirates now have a 12-13 record. They play next when they host Centerville for a 1A Region IV District 27 game on Friday, January 17. Martinsville will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 75-69 league loss to Wells (Wells, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 19-4.

With the loss, Zavalla falls to 6-15 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Apple Springs (Apple Springs, TX) to confront the Eagles in a 1A Region IV District 27 game on Friday, January 17. The Eagles go into the game with a record of 8-13. Apple Springs lost 85-62 in their recent league game against Broaddus (Broaddus, TX)
