In Tuesday's league contest, the visiting Scurry-Rosser Wildcats basketball team scored a big 71-45 triumph over the Maypearl Panthers.

The Wildcats (21-1) will now prepare for their contest against Blooming Grove (Blooming Grove, TX). The Lions go into the 3A Region III District 18 contest with a 9-12 record. In their last contest, Blooming Grove was trounced by Maypearl (Maypearl, TX), 66-43, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Panthers confront the Rice Bulldogs (Rice, TX) in a 3A Region III District 18 contest, on Friday, January 17. Maypearl will attempt to better on its 4-22 season record. The Bulldogs go into the contest with a 5-11 record after their 73-38 league loss to Grandview (Grandview, TX).
