In Tuesday's league test, the Shallowater Mustangs (Shallowater, TX) basketball squad trounced the host Muleshoe Mules (Muleshoe, TX), by a score of 84-23.

Next, the Mustangs clash with the Roosevelt Eagles (Lubbock, TX) in a 3A Region I District 2 test, on Friday, January 17. Shallowater will attempt to improve on its 8-4 season record. The Eagles come into the test with a 11-10 record after their 67-36 league loss to Slaton (Slaton, TX).

The Mules (1-10) will now prepare for their test against Idalou (Idalou, TX). The Wildcats come into the 3A Region I District 2 test with a 14-10 record. In their last test, Idalou was routed by Littlefield (Littlefield, TX), 77-66, in a league test.
