Louisiana High School Basketball - Port Allen can't hold off North Central

North Central Hurricanes (Lebeau, LA) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Port Allen Pelicans (Port Allen, LA), 67-64 in a non-league match.
With the victory, North Central advances its record to 8-17 on the year. The Hurricanes travel to Washington-Marion (Lake Charles, LA) to face the Charging Indians in a non-league match on Thursday, January 16. The Charging Indians enter the match with a record of 9-12. Washington-Marion lost 54-46 in their recent non-league match against Ville Platte (Ville Platte, LA)
The Pelicans now own a 13-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to University Lab for a 3A District 6 match on Friday, January 17. Port Allen will face a Cubs squad coming off a 53-52 non-league loss to East Ascension (Gonzales, LA). The Cubs record now stands at 11-7.
