The St. Pius X Catholic Golden Lions basketball team scored 62 points and limited the host North Springs Spartans to 52 in the Golden Lions league triumph on Tuesday.

The Golden Lions now have a 13-3 record. They play next when they travel to Tucker for a AAAA Region 5 game on Friday, January 17. St. Pius X Catholic will confront a Tigers team coming off a 85-35 league win over Clarkston (Clarkston, GA). The Tigers record now stands at 13-4.

With the loss, North Springs falls to 6-13 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Marist (Atlanta, GA) to confront the War Eagles in a AAAA Region 5 game on Thursday, January 16. The War Eagles go into the game with a record of 11-6. Marist won 83-23 in their recent league game against Druid Hills (Atlanta, GA)
