In Tuesday's league test, the North Stanly Comets (New London, NC) basketball squad defeated the visiting South Stanly Rowdy Rebel Bulls (Norwood, NC), by a score of 64-45.

Next, the Comets clash with the Mount Pleasant Tigers (Mt. Pleasant, NC) in a 1A/2A Yadkin Valley test, on Friday, January 17. North Stanly will attempt to improve on its 14-1 season record. The Tigers come into the test with a 7-6 record after their 77-43 league win over Albemarle (Albemarle, NC).

The Rowdy Rebel Bulls (8-6) will now prepare for their test against Union Academy (Monroe, NC). The Cardinals come into the 1A/2A Yadkin Valley test with a 9-3 record. In their last test, Union Academy overcame Gray Stone Day (Misenheimer, NC), 57-19, in a league test.
