Georgia High School Basketball - St. George's thwarts Oak Mountain Academy

January 14, 2025: Milner, GA

The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the St. George's (Milner, GA) and the visiting Oak Mountain Academy Warriors (Carrollton, GA), observed St. George's's basketball team knock off Oak Mountain Academy by a score of 56-36.

The (11-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Flint River Academy (Woodbury, GA). The Wildcats come into the GIAA A Region 5 challenge with a 7-5 record. In their last challenge, Flint River Academy prevailed over Strong Rock Christian (Locust Grove, GA), 51-40, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Warriors encounter the LaGrange Academy (LaGrange, GA) in a GIAA A Region 5 challenge, on Friday, January 17. Oak Mountain Academy will attempt to improve on its 1-8 season record. The come into the challenge with a 8-4 record after their 62-55 league win over Flint River Academy (Woodbury, GA).
