    The Sherwood Warriors defeated the host Paint Branch Panthers basketball squad by a final score of 77-61 in Tuesday's league outing.

    Next, the Warriors clash with the Poolesville Falcons (Poolesville, MD) in a non-league match, on Friday, January 17. Sherwood will attempt to advance on its 11-1 season record. The Falcons enter the match with a 2-7 record after their 54-49 league loss to Rockville (Rockville, MD).

    The Panthers now own a 4-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Northwest for a non-league match on Thursday, January 16. Paint Branch will face a Jaguars squad coming off a 63-60 league win over Quince Orchard (Gaithersburg, MD). The Jaguars record now stands at 8-2.
