Texas High School Basketball - Pearland overwhelms Sam Rayburn

The Pearland Oilers basketball team scored 86 points and limited the host Sam Rayburn Texans to 41 in the Oilers league triumph on Tuesday.

The Oilers now have a 14-10 record. They play next when they host Alvin for a 6A Region III District 22 game on Friday, January 17. Pearland will confront a Yellowjackets team coming off a 89-48 league loss to Shadow Creek (Pearland, TX). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 12-15.

With the loss, Sam Rayburn falls to 6-21 on the campaign. The Texans travel to South Houston (South Houston, TX) to confront the Trojans in a 6A Region III District 22 game on Friday, January 17. The Trojans go into the game with a record of 15-9. South Houston lost 66-53 in their recent league game against Pearland (Pearland, TX)
