The Volunteers now possess a 15-5 record. They play next when they travel to Magnolia Heights for a MAIS 5A District 1 bout on Friday, January 17. Starkville Academy will play a Chiefs team coming off a 76-53 league loss to Rossville Christian Academy (Rossville, TN). The Chiefs record now stands at 4-5.

With the loss, Pillow Academy falls to 0-14 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Heritage Academy (Columbus, MS) to play the Patriots in a MAIS 5A District 1 bout on Friday, January 17. The Patriots go into the bout with a record of 14-5. Heritage Academy lost 80-78 in their recent league bout against Rossville Christian Academy (Rossville, TN)
