The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Rogers City Hurons (Rogers City, MI) and the host Whittemore-Prescott Cardinals (Whittemore, MI), observed Rogers City's basketball team overwhelm Whittemore-Prescott by a margin of 66-39.

The Hurons (7-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Alcona (Lincoln, MI). The Tigers come into the North Star challenge with a 8-2 record. In their last challenge, Alcona trounced Posen (Posen, MI), 71-44, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Cardinals battle the Mackinaw City Comets (Mackinaw City, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 16. Whittemore-Prescott will attempt to better on its 1-7 season record. The Comets come into the challenge with a 4-6 record after their 51-35 league loss to Harbor Light Christian (Harbor Springs, MI).
