The West Tallahatchie Choctaws basketball team scored 66 points and limited the host Simmons Blue Devils to 61 in the Choctaws league triumph on Tuesday.

The Choctaws now have a 5-12 record. They play next when they travel to South Delta for a 1A Region 5 game on Friday, January 17. West Tallahatchie will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 48-45 league loss to West Bolivar (Rosedale, MS). The Bulldogs record now stands at 6-9.

With the loss, Simmons falls to 2-13 on the campaign. The Blue devils host Shaw (Shaw, MS) to confront the Warriors in a 1A Region 5 game on Friday, January 17. The Warriors go into the game with a record of 9-8. Shaw won 49-37 in their recent league game against Leland (Leland, MS)
