North Carolina High School Basketball - Tuscola can't get by Smoky Mountain

The Tuscola Mountaineers basketball squad (Waynesville, NC), was nudged 84-80 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Smoky Mountain Mustangs (Sylva, NC)

With the victory, Smoky Mountain advances its record to 8-6 on the year. The Mustangs host Franklin (Franklin, NC) to meet the Panthers in a 3A Mountain 7 battle on Wednesday, January 15. The Panthers enter the battle with a record of 11-3. Franklin won 70-46 in their recent league battle against West Henderson (Hendersonville, NC)

The Mountaineers now own a 2-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West Henderson for a 3A Mountain 7 battle on Friday, January 17. Tuscola will meet a Falcons squad coming off a 70-46 league loss to Franklin (Franklin, NC). The Falcons record now stands at 2-14.
