The Tupelo Golden Wave basketball team scored 53 points and limited the visiting Starkville Yellowjackets to 43 in the Golden Wave league triumph on Tuesday.

The Golden Wave now possess a 12-4 record. They play next when they host Clinton for a 7A Region 2 game on Tuesday, January 21.

With the loss, Starkville falls to 18-5 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets travel to Germantown (Madison, MS) to confront the Mavericks in a 7A Region 2 game on Friday, January 17. The Mavericks go into the game with a record of 14-3.
