In Tuesday's league contest, the host Yorktown Wildcats basketball team scored a good 48-38 win over the Woodsboro Eagles.

The Wildcats (6-8) will now prepare for their contest against Three Rivers (Three Rivers, TX). The Bulldogs come into the 2A Region IV District 31 contest with a 4-15 record. In their last contest, Three Rivers was topped by Kenedy (Kenedy, TX), 73-43, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Eagles battle the Port Aransas Marlins (Port Aransas, TX) in a 2A Region IV District 31 contest, on Friday, January 17. Woodsboro will attempt to better on its 4-13 season record. The Marlins come into the contest with a 18-8 record after their 80-51 league win over Pettus (Pettus, TX).
