In Tuesday's league test, the Scranton Prep Cavaliers (Scranton, PA) basketball squad defeated the host Abington Heights Comets (Clarks Summit, PA), by a final score of 41-33.

Next, the Cavaliers clash with the West Scranton Invaders (Scranton, PA) in a Lackawanna 1 test, on Friday, January 17. Scranton Prep will attempt to upgrade on its 12-0 season record. The Invaders come into the test with a 1-10 record after their 57-26 non-league loss to North Pocono (Covington Township, PA).

The Comets (6-6) will now prepare for their test against Valley View (Archbald, PA). The Cougars come into the Lackawanna 1 test with a 12-1 record. In their last test, Valley View overcame Delaware Valley (Milford, PA), 68-36, in a non-league test.
