In Tuesday's league contest, the visiting Amelia County Raiders basketball team scored a big 53-30 triumph over the Nottoway Cougars.
The Raiders (3-8) will now prepare for their contest against Lunenburg Central (Victoria, VA). The Chargers go into the James River contest with a 2-3 record. In their last contest, Lunenburg Central was trounced by Nottoway (Nottoway, VA), 59-38, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Cougars confront the Randolph-Henry Statesmen (Charlotte Court House, VA) in a James River contest, on Wednesday, January 15. Nottoway will attempt to better on its 3-7 season record. The Statesmen go into the contest with a 0-8 record after their 58-21 non-league loss to William Campbell (Naruna, VA).
