Texas High School Basketball - Anton triumphant over Cotton Center

The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Anton Bulldogs (Anton, TX) and the host Cotton Center Elks (Cotton Center, TX), observed Anton's basketball team overwhelm Cotton Center by a margin of 54-24.

The Bulldogs (9-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Whitharral (Whitharral, TX). The Panthers come into the 1A Region I District 5 challenge with a 16-7 record. In their last challenge, Whitharral trounced Meadow (Meadow, TX), 61-24, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Elks battle the Wellman-Union Wildcats (Wellman, TX) in a 1A Region I District 5 challenge, on Friday, January 17. Cotton Center will attempt to better on its 4-16 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 12-9 record after their 64-20 league win over Amherst (Amherst, TX).
