The Berlin Mountaineers basketball team scored 56 points and limited the visiting Newfound Regional Bears to 12 in the Mountaineers league triumph on Tuesday.

The Mountaineers now have a 8-1 record. They play next when they host Kennett for a non-league game on Thursday, January 16. Berlin will confront a Eagles team coming off a 40-37 league win over Sanborn Regional (Kingston, NH). The Eagles record now stands at 1-5.

With the loss, Newfound Regional falls to 0-8 on the campaign. The Bears host Hillsboro-Deering (Hillsboro, NH) to confront the Hillcats in a Division III game on Friday, January 17. The Hillcats go into the game with a record of 2-5. Hillsboro-Deering lost 59-16 in their recent league game against Conant (Jaffrey, NH)
